Another week, another intro! This week I’m here with Scorpius.

I hope this doesn’t take long…

Don’t worry, it won’t!
So Scorpius… or do I say Miss? Or Mrs?

Just Scorpius.

So Scorpius, you run a bar, don’t you?

Yes.

What’s that like?

Every day is interesting.

In what way?

Have you ever been in a bar?

No… I’m 18.

Oh. That’s older than I would have figured.
My establishment is rather different from others, though. We have our usuals… and our usual trouble makers.

Trouble makers?

People looking for a fight, people who’ve heard too many rumors… that sort of thing.

What kind of rumors?

Things like… we sell moonshine, or have a floor just for illegal betting, or other… unsavory things.

Do I look like the type of woman who’d allow that?

Err… so Capricornus helps out there?

Sometimes. He prefers to stay out of the limelight.

How did you two meet?

We met in Europe many, many years ago. But that’s a story for another time.

What got you interested in opening a bar in the first place?

Taverns have always been a place for the unusual as long as I’ve been alive. They’re a place where you leave your troubles behind momentarily… and as long as you have alcohol, there will always be a market for it.

What’d you do during prohibition?

I sold alcohol, of course!
We changed the main area into a restaurant and had the basement become a speakeasy. Now we operate both.

Of course…

Have you ever thought about starting a new business, something besides a bar or restaurant?

Yes. I’ve tried to invest in other companies so I can still run my bar, but they’ve all become run down… if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.
I prefer a hands-on approach to managing things, though.

Alright, last question! If you didn’t become a business owner, what do you think you would have done?

Painting, perhaps.

And there you have it! See you guys next week!
