August is wrapping up, and with it we’ve got a few updates for you~
new visual novel
This month I took a bit of time off from Canvas Menagerie to make a short visual novel for Velox Fabula 2, a 10 day visual novel game jam! The game is called Starlit Regrets and is fully playable on itchio with 5 different endings over 15k words.
It’s got an uncommon style that I wanted to try – speech bubbles! It took more effort to make the speech bubbles work than normal ADV style visual novels, but I think it came out well.
As I said, it’s short, free, and has a variety of endings, so check it out if you’re interested!
Canvas Menagerie Act 2 testing
Canvas Menagerie is about to start beta testing for Act 2! Our first round of beta testing was for Act 1 only, but now testers can try both Acts 1 & 2 (about 2/3rds of the entire game). This second round will begin sometime the first week of September.
If you were in the first round of beta testing and want to beta test Acts 1 & 2 (even if you didn’t finish Act 1), then you don’t have to fill out the form again – I’ll be emailing people from the first round once the build is available.
This will be the last time you can sign up for beta testing – Act 3 beta testing will be limited to people who tested Acts 1 & 2. Signups will close at the end of September.
