It’s the final hours of pride for 2025 as I write this. June presented a lot of side tangents such as Asphodelium releasing on Steam and my own work-vacation at OffKai Expo (where I got to meet people who played the Crimson Waves demo!), but it also saw some progress on the main game. So, let’s look into it!

Writing
As far as the writing goes, it’s make strong progress! Cecil’s route is near completion with it hopefully being fully drafted as a first draft by the end of this week. His route includes many nuances and variations depending on player choices (such as the important choice of Lucie being a human or a vampire) as well as a Cecil POV segment.
The way the story is structured is that there is a lengthy common route with a variety of scenes depending on your choices before the story fully branches into character routes. So while the common route is long, there’s a lot of different scenes and ways the story can go depending on who you pursue and if Lucie is a vampire or not.
Artwork
Progress is being made on the ending CGs for each route, with different endings depending on if Lucie is a vampire or not. It’s a really important choice that affects her and her love interests, so be sure to see the alternate scenes and endings too!
I won’t show any of the ending CG sketches as they’re spoilers, but here’s a little artwork of Rowan I drew. I wonder why he’d look so entranced at the forest…

Kickstarter
After long last, our Kickstarter is just around the corner! We’ll be launching a small Kickstarter campaign in mid July to help fund the rest of Crimson Waves and let you get special goodies. Here’s a look at some!

We’ll have digital rewards like the game key and artbook but we’ll also have physical rewards, such as couple keychains, an acrylic Lucie pin, an acrylic standee, mini prints, and more. In fact, here’s a preview of one of the mini prints, illustrated by Hisuri Rii!

There will also be a limited tier for a custom date scene, where you can pick a love interest and pitch a date idea for a side story!
Be sure to follow the Kickstarter page to be notified when it goes live.
